LactoScope FTIR Automatic
Specifications
The LactoScope FTIR Automatic is a raw milk analyzer based on Fourier Transform Infrared Technology. It is designed to meet the raw milk analysis needs of dairy herd improvement and payment laboratories. Cow milk, sheep milk and goat milk can be analyzed with an analysis speed up to 400 samples per hour.
The LactoScope FTIR Automatic is provided with DataScope software, a fully integrated Windows program for central control of milk samples. The software has the ability to show on the screen messages for sample handling, sample flow, warning messages and signs for normal operation. The system can handle batches of different sources in sequence without interruption, including cleaning and zeroing operations. The program can perform statistical analyses on the retrieved data and export this data to other applications and/or any other computers via the network.
The LactoScope FTIR Automatic is able to measure many different components in raw milk which are visible in the milk spectrum next to the basic components (fat, protein, lactose, solids), for example:
- NPN/Calculated Urea
- Casein
- True Protein
- Free Fatty Acids
- pH
- Freezing Point Depression (after Koops et al.)
SomaScope MKII Automatic
In many countries the milk quality of the farmers’ cattle and the payment to the farmers are fixed by dairy herd improvements, milk control stations and milk collecting stations. For these stations the SomaScope MKII Automatic is a good instrument.
The instrument is a cost effective somatic cell counter based on proven fluorescence Flow Cytometry technology. Flow Cytometry is an analytical technique, recognized by the International Dairy Federation (IDF).
The instrument is capable of analyzing up to 400 samples per hour with very accurate results and can measure up to 107 cells. It features proven Flow Cytometry technology and can be upgraded to a CombiScope
