Basic Distillation system VAPODEST 10s is the new basic model for the automatic rapid distillation, especially for Kjeldahl digestion solutions in Kjeldahl flasks or Kjeldatherm digestions glasses. VAPODEST 10s is the ideal instrument for laboratories with a low sample throughput but a high demand for reliability, user-friendliness and safety. VAPODEST 10s is an automatic distillation unit and the basic model of the well proven and tested Vapodest range, which now comprises 6 models.

Versatile applications
VAPODEST watersteam - rapid distillation systems are used worldwide e.g. for the determination of nitrate, nitrite, ammonium, Kjeldahl-digestion solutions, volatile acids, sulphur dioxide, ethanol, formaldehyde, phenols as well as other compounds. Automatic water steam distillation unit for the rapid distillation of Kjeldahl digestion solutions from Kjeldahl glasses250, 400, or 800 ml as well as Kjeldahl flasks 250, 500, and 750ml with wide neck opening. The steam generatorworks fully automatically and on gradula increase, is virtually service-free, with monitoring of the over temperatureas well as a time controlled pump for the automatic addition of caustic soda into the sample glass. The durationof the distillation is controlled by a timer.

Programmable Distillation systems VAPODEST 20s and VAPODEST 30s For more than 20 years Gerhardt has been offering the rapid distillation systems VAPODEST for the steam distillation of Kjeldahl digestion and other samples. The new VAPODEST models offer a state-of-the-art technology. All models have a modern MCU-control, automatic steam generation, RS 485 interface, a corrosion free plastic housing and many more features.

All distillation systems are especially good in handling distillations of Kjeldahl digestion solutions as well as physical seperation methods of water steam soluble materials and volatile acids. For the determination of alcohol it is ideal that the steam power of the steam generator can be reduced to around 70 %. Best results in combination with digestion systems KB, CSB und SMA. The models offer varying degrees of automation with manual end point titration.

VAPODEST 30s
The intermediate model is specifically set up with all the following parameters for Kjeldahl distillations, namely:
Automatic addition of NaOH, H2O as well as removal of the sample residues, variable steam power from 40 - 100%. The 5x7 segment LED shows the program steps and can display up to 9 different error messages.

VAPODEST 45s
This model accepts an external titrator which is connected through an additional interface RS 232. It is mandatory however, to order the following accessory: titration cell with suction (Order no.:7686).

Autosampler VAPODEST 50s Carousel - with Autosampler The VAPODESt 50s Carousel is Gerhardt's solution for the most sophisticated lab requirements: the distillation system with automated sample feed for fully automated analysis. The sample tubes are taken from the carousel and fed directly into the VAPODEST 50s for further processing. This robust system, based on a pneumatic drive ensures very reliable running. Furthermore, all functions are checked continuously by an error diagnosis system.

This model was developed for continuous operation with high sample through-put.The operator time is reduced to loading the tubes and filling the storage tanks with chemicals. Data transfer supports the input of all data relevant for the samples. Automatic feeding of samples using a robust, pneumatic technique. Various carousel inserts can either feed 20 Kjeldatherm digestion tubes 250 ml (order no. 6100) or 16 Kjeldatherm digestion tubes 400 ml (order no. 6108) or Jumbo digestion tubes 400 ml for the direct distillation (order no. 6460) or 12 Jumbo digestion tubes 800 ml for the direct distillation (order no. 6461). The construction is economic, saves bench space and has an integrated set of tanks with level sensor control. Perfect for a high sample through-put and continuous operation.

VAPODEST-Manager - PC - Controlled systems
