LactiCheck

LactiCheck provides milk composition results for fat, solids, protein, added water and density in just 85 seconds. Compact, light weight and portable, the LactiCheck provides fast, precise and affordable analysis of raw or processed milk and fluid milk products without the use of costly caustic chemicals or reagents and in a fraction of the time and cost of bench chemistry methods. Along with Cow milk LactiCheck options allow measurement of Goat, Sheep and Buffalo milk.

LactiCheck

Based on ultrasonic spectroscopy, the instrument does not require any caustic, costly chemicals or reagents.
Compact, light weight and portable, the LactiCheck is reliable, providing results that are in keeping with the accuracy of bench chemistry methods in a fraction of the time and at an exceptional value.

“The Page & Pedersen LactiCheck is a useful tool for monitoring incoming milk quality and is invaluable when managing the standardising process for cheesemilk”
Simon Clapp, Director Brue Valley Farms, part of the West Country Cheesemakers Group.

Benefits
  • Farm Testing: Portable, precise, simple measurement of raw co-mingled milk facilitates feed and breeding decisions. User-friendly, robust and light-weight, the LactiCheck gives farmers feedback critical to practical herd management.
  • Milk Collection Stations: Rapid, precise, cost-effective results for a wide range of critical components of incoming raw milk. Easy to use, walkaway convenience with built-in RS-232 for automated recording of test results.
  • Laboratory: Reliable testing with optional automated data collection. Compact, easy to use unit requiring no costly, caustic chemicals. Streamlined user-friendly calibration and simple operating procedure.
  • Research & Development: Providing essential information for value-added product development, the LactiCheck is a user-friendly, repeatable, reliable and low-maintenance instrument.
  • Dairy Science Studies: Convenient, simple to use, cost-effective tool for introducing dairy science students to testing requirements. Low cost, low maintenance and compact, the LactiCheck is also an ideal tool for use in the field or laboratory studies.
  • LactiLog Software: Connect the LactiCheck to a computer and log all the results using the Lactilog software.

CheeseCrafter Predictive Yield Software
CheeseCrafter software automatically captures milk composition data from the LactiCheck and utilises established predictive yield formulae to provide a guideline for anticipated yield. The software records batch data and milk composition, reports predictive yield and provides a modelling worksheet to offer changes or improvements worth considering.
The CheeseCrafter software is a powerful tool for cheesemakers to assist decision making to optimise quality and yield for each batch.
