Thermo Electron offers the widest range of electrodes to meet the needs of any application. From critical measurements to simple checks, expect quality performance. Constructed in glass, steel, graphite or epoxy, Orion electrodes are ideal for the laboratory or field.
Measurements require very little sample preparation and are unaffected by the colour or turbidity of the sample making them the preferred choice for pH, ORP, Ion, DO or conductivity measurements.

Not all pH measurements are performed in large, aqueous samples so Thermo have developed an electrode for virtually any sample type. These electrodes will allow fast, accurate pH measurement in samples ranging from 0.5 µl in a micro centrifuge tube to solid meat or cheese.
Ag/AgCl pH Electrodes are proven, reliable electrodes offering excellent performance in a wide variety of sample types. Ideal when measuring pH of aqueous solutions at consistent temperatures. These electrodes are available with ceramic and Sure-Flow junctions as well, guaranteeing accurate, drift free results in the dirtiest of samples.
Ideal for education or production environments where durability is paramount. This selection of electrodes will give accurate pH measurements to a resolution of 0.1 pH units and are rugged enough to withstand heavy day to day usage. Available as sealed, gel filled units requiring no maintenance or with a liquid reference filling solution to speed up electrode response.

A wide range of conductivity cells are available for every application. These conductivity cells feature built-in temperature compensation; high, standard, and low conductivity measuring ranges, cell constants from 0.1 to 10 cm-1 and a variety of probe materials including epoxy/graphite, glass/platinum, and stainless steel.
Orion were the first company to develop Ion Selective electrodes over 25 years ago. Since then the range has been constantly improved and expanded, now offering electrodes for 18 select ions. Ion selective electrodes are a proven method of determining ion concentrations in a wide variety of samples, making them applicable in virtually every laboratory. Direct read is the most common use for ISE, requiring very little sample preparation Ion concentration is displayed on the screen of an Orion ISE meter. Sample colour or turbidity does not affect measurement and typical analysis time is less than 1 minute. ISE’s are also widely used with known addition and titration methods providing high accuracy and versatility.
Polarographic dissolved oxygen probes are available for BOD (Biochemical Oxygen demand) analysis, beer and wine testing, rugged field applications, and water and wastewater analysis. All DO probes feature automatic temperature compensation and convenient screw on membrane caps that reduce probe servicing time and eliminate assembly problems.
Rugged enough for the most challenging laboratory and field applications, the Orion Star Series meters combine sophisticated technology with simplified operation and exceptional long-life performance. Benchtop meters are IP54 dustproof and splashproof. Portable meters are IP67 waterproof. Simple operation and consistent user interface across all meter types minimises operator training time.

After extensive consultation with end-users the input connectors have been improved for ATC/Conductivity and DO. The old 8 PIN Din style connectors have been upgraded to the patented waterproof Mini-Din connectors giving extra security and ensuring waterproofing.

The quality of analytical results depends upon the quality of standards, buffers and reagents. We offer a complete selection of quality-assured support solutions for virtually any electrochemistry analysis. Our pH buffers are designed to meet all end user requirements, including NIST and DIN standards. Buffer temperature tables are programmed into the meter software for use with the Auto-Buffer-Recognition feature.
